By default, Photoshop remembers only 20 or so previous actions (undo). But some user wants to increase amounts of undo while performing work. This tutorial is regarding how you can increase undo preferences in Adobe Photoshop plus has been tested within PS CS4, CS5, and CS6. This can let you set the number regarding "states" of your document that Photoshop remembers, therefore setting the number of times Photoshop allows you to "undo. " Follow the steps below and change undo-options settings in Adobe Photoshop as you wish.
1. Launch Photoshop.

2. Click Edit from Top
And Go to -> Preferences -> Performance.
Alternatively, you can press Ctrl + K on your keyboard to quickly open the Preferences window and choose Performance on the left side.
On the right-side pane, under the History & Cache section, find the History States option. This option will let you change the number of undo you can perform.
3. Click the small arrow and move the slider to the right side to change the number of history states (or levels of undo) as shown above.
You can also manually fill in the number if you wish. Photoshop can remember up to 1000 history states.
4. When you are done, hit OK at the top of the window to save the setting.
